Updated Google Home will be able to share Wi-Fi

Google Company is working on its new version of the voice assistant Google Home. A new app can be used as a powerful mesh router.

Google has long been competing with Amazon for the right to be named the leader on the market of voice assistants. Now Alexa takes the first position thanks to lots of interesting functions. Google Assistant is actively nipping at its heels because of its ability to control really important devices in the house. Probably, the IT giant will soon leave its rival behind as Google Home can share Wi-Fi. You won’t need a separate router and two different devices.

Updated Google Home will control lightning units, turn music on and off, perform various tasks and provide a strong Wi-Fi signal in all corners of even a big private house. It is known that router will significantly increase the speed of Google Assistant.

The cost and detailed technical characteristics of the new gadget are kept secret. Separate devices Google Home and Google Wi-Fi can be bought for $130. Amazon Echo costs $180. So, perhaps, the price of a more functional voice assistant by Google will be approximately the same.
