Russia-based S7 Airlinesis integrating AI technologies to assist passengers in choosing tickets. On the Facebook Messenger app, the chatbot tells customers about the flight status and available airline tickets. Besides, it can even select the city for travelling based on the key requests.
Aeroflot is going to apply AI to predict ticket prices and demand for regional routes. Thus, the airline will be able to avoid losses when entering new markets.
AI to monitorroad traffic
Today, passengers do not have to feel cold on the street, waiting for their bus ortrolley. They can use a mobile app or online service to find out when the required vehicle will arrive to the stop.
The Trafi app shows public traffic motions in a real time mode and forms routes to destinations in Madrid, Riga, Tallinn,Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo,Jakarta, Istanbul, and other cities. The service can operate even without the Internet connection.
Citizens of Saratov, Balashov, and Engels have the Smart transport service. It is an interactive map showing public transport routes. This portal allows users to know when the bus will come to the certain stop.
At the same time, the Kurgan Region has started testing the Transport 45 service. Using this solution, passengers can choose a stop, plan a route, and learn the schedule of inter-city trips. Besides, the app allows to follow transport movement.
Similar services are also accessible in other Russian cities: Vorkuta, Nizhny Novgorod, Novy Urengoy, Krasnoyarsk, etc.
Intelligent Transportation System
The Intelligent Transportation System is a smart system that helps to regulate traffic flows. It is aimed at advancing security on highways and improve population service standards.
Munich launched a transport control system in 1991. Back then, it enhanced the performance of traffic signals and assessed the road load.

Now, the Intelligent Transportation System functions in such a manner that traffic signal detectors and cameras allow to determine traffic congestion. Based on this information, artificial intelligence defines how long a green or red light should gleam.

Operators provide comprehensive intelligent system operations. They track cameras, inform police of road accidents, and respond to drivers’ requests.
Due to the integration of the Intelligent Transportation System, the amount of RTAs has reduced almost by half in Moscow. According to the Government of Russia’s capital, the average speed of traffic movement in the city has grown by 12-13%.
Nowadays, AI systems easily cope with tasks previously performed by people. They regulate transport flows, prepare routes, and help air tourists to choose places for leisure. AI technologies can make flights as well as bus, tram, and trolley trips safer and extremely comfortable. In this case, people will prefer public transport rather than personal cars.
